Magmarin 28
Magmarin 28 is an 8,5-meter high-speed craft that will be constructed by Magmarin Yachts in late 2017.
The company is experienced in building racing sailboats and this will be their first high-speed deep v speedboat.
I am the exterior and interior designer of the boat and the hull design, naval architecture is done by Jim Donovan, who is also the designer of the company’s mainstream GP26 sailing boats.
The boat is going to be a daily cruiser, fisher, and all-rounder with a comfortable sleeping and wet area in the bow.
On the deck, 6 people can be accommodated comfortably with a sink, barbecue and two 36 litre fridges.
There is a huge storage area in the stern at the back of the seats which can also be filled with water to store fish during sports and no need to mention storage under the seats.
Her hardtop will protect guests from the sun and provide much more comfortable rides during the day.
The boat will have single, dual outboard engine combinations up to 2×200 hp and speeds will reach up to 50+ knots.
What I was chasing through this design process was to design the boat as timeless, as sleek and as elegant as possible without losing the purpose she was made for to represent the company in the best possible way in the future.
You can find many inspirations in this boat from classic American runabouts to modern European tenders.
I hope this model will have a very long life span.
